My recent trip to
Thailand left me with many newly formed opinions. I spent a week visiting Phuket and
Bangkok. Some facts about
Thailand that amazed me:-
- An undying reverence to the King, a very prominent and obvious statement.
- Beautiful markets and lots and lots to buy. ( you can get everything from A to Z, no kidding)
- Massages available at every turning point and also being very affordable.
These were probably the 3 main things that attracted me to Thailand. I loved the elephant trekking and the canoeing. As well, as the gorgeous Emerald Buddha temple, simply amazing architecture!
The week away in Thailand also made me appreciate Malaysia, my home land and my family. I missed my hubby and son a lot. It was amazing that such a short stay away could make me feel that way despite I was in the presence of friends with lots to do.
Now I’m back with still a few more days of holiday left to go. Looking forward to the New Year and I suppose resuming my normal day to day responsibilities!
