Police Roadblocks

With all the political upheaval in Malaysia currently, the citizens seem to be suffering the consequences of it. One of which are the police roadblocks.

The police or government seem to disturb our day-to-day life’s by putting up these roadblocks every time they suspect a riot is going to happen. This only worsens the traffic jams, which we already have to go through. No doubt they think they are doing it with concern over our security, but really it has become annoying and also not effective.

The roadblocks are always at the same places. Those who take part in the riots already know this. How do the police know which cars to stop when everyone is dressed in their own normal clothes? Is it just to simply caution or scare the people into thinking not to join the riots?

I seriously think the police need to think of a different way to get around and getting their job done. Roadblocks like this especially in the morning when people are on their way to work is extremely frustrating and doesn’t seem to serve the purpose that it was designed for.
