Hobbies

A simple word and topic that can spark up a conversation and help us get to know another person. I attended training recently and was asked this question, what are your hobbies?

I realized that I had one too many hobbies and most of the time I’m exhausting myself trying to keep up with doing it all cause I love all of them!(in fact I miss teaching Sunday School which is one of those I dropped due to the busy schedule.)

So here's my list of hobbies, honestly I can’t imagine dropping any, probably I’ll try to just keep them as hobbies but maybe have bigger intervals in how often I do them.

  1. Food, I love. Here are some recent pictures of food I have tried. I’m always up to trying any type of food, and I believe sometimes, that we live to eat!

Here is one of these little piglet buns (some may find it repulsive but I find it super cute) at Canton I.Pizza Aussie style, but here the egg is fully boiled in the center, love it!

Chicken rice balls, my new discovery in Melaka, after 28 years of living in Malaysia I recently find out this exist.

2. Outdoor activities, this is a newly developed hobby. I’ve always wanted to do more outdoor activities and now that I have a group of friends who enjoy doing it and an organizer, we do this nearly every 2 months. We have a whole list of things we want to do and try our best to make sure everyone is there doing it. Refer to my blog ‘Outdoor Adventures’. Recently we are thinking of abseiling or simple camping

3. Swimming. I’ve loved this since small and it always helps me to distress provided the weather is great for a nice swim.

4. Reading. This is where I learn a lot. I love fiction mostly but for non-fiction I like reading about people, real life people and what they go through.

5. Movies. There is 2 ways I do this, one is DVD’s and the other is going to the cinemas. I think this is very common among most of the folk here in KL due to the number of cinemas we have. I recently completed watching Grey’s Anatomy Season 4 in DVD form and watched The Dark Knight at the cinemas.

6. Shopping. I shop nearly all the time no matter how much I restrict myself. This year I attended 3 branded sales and at all 3, I spent a lot. Excuses such as for Christmas gifts and so on, but really most of the shopping was all about ME.

  1. Facebooking. My new and latest addiction. Refer to ‘Facebook Experience'. I even blogged about it!
  1. And of course, last but not least, BLOGGIN!

So there you go, quite a number of items on my list. And I love all of them!
