Age

Age is just a number. That’s what everyone says but really, is it?

Every year we grow older and I think to a certain extend, it does matter. Age. Yes, enjoying life one day at a time is great, but, when it comes to that “I’m 30 and am I where I thought I’d be today?” A question we do ask ourselves at some point in our life.

I have sort of sacrificed some of my hopes and dreams so that loved ones are well taken cared of and are able to do what they want to do. It’s one of those times where you step back and allow loved ones to shine while you just keep waiting for the right time.

The frustration of waiting can surmount the level of patience a person needs to do this during this period of time. And then, there is always the question, I’m getting older, how much longer can I wait? When is the right time? To which you may then ask the next question, does it really matter?

This year growing a year older was a different experience for me. I’m not quite sure why, but it just is.
