Joys & Pains of being a Mom

Over the past 2 weeks which seem to have flown past, I’ve gone through a whirlwind of being a full time housewife. Conclusion, no matter what I’m going to need a maid be it a stay in or a part time type. But most of what I’ve learnt is on being a mom, the kind of patience (of which I have none), and strength required.

Being a mom, requires holding your child all night; when he is having a fever.

Being a mom, needs courage that even though you’re not sure what he wants while he is wailing; you’re still there.

Being a mom, is hugging your child when he is ‘pooing’ his hardest poo; after 3 days of not shitting.

Being a mom, is changing diapers with poo all through the night when he has diarrhea.

Being a mom, is disciplining him even when it feels really hard.

Being a mom, is teaching and to keep trying even though he doesn’t want to listen.

Being a mom, can be embarrassing in public and with other moms, when you find out how little you know; but you’re still there trying.

Being a mom, is not easy and can be one of the most perilous task God has given to women.

Being a mom, is also very rewarding when you see the cutest smile on his face and the first few words spoken.

Being a mom, is to keep trying even when you want to give up; because you know how much you love him.

Being a MOM, is one great adventure you may not want to miss.
