My maid who has been with me for the past 2 years went back for her vacation over Raya for 2 months. Somewhere after 1 ½ months, she text me and says her mom is really ill and she won’t be coming back. So that was that. I was a bit shocked but it took me a while and I started to accept the fact.
Then 3 days before her flight back, which has already been booked and paid for in advance, she text and says her mom is well, and she is coming back. After already making all the arrangements needed and getting used to doing things myself and not having a maid, she is coming back.
As much as she is happy to come back, I’m a bit reluctant. I would have been happy had I not prepared for her not to come back but now she is. Is this good or bad? I wonder. Will she really be at the airport when I go pick her up?
God sure has a sense of humour.
