Constraints

We live in a world full of rules and regulations. Yet the ones we struggle with most are the ones we make for ourselves. Our very own little constraints in life of what we can or cannot do.

I have a wedding this weekend and with cousins to hang out with all night long. I also have a son without a maid who is only with me during weekends as his grandparents help out on weekdays. What do I do? I could ask the grandparents easily for help again, but an inner voice within me says I should be with my kid. My mommy voice.

I love my son a lot and yet being with cousins I haven’t seen in a while also seem important. So while I have not quite made up my mind on how late I’ll hang out with my cousins or how early I’ll leave the wedding reception to put my son to bed, I reiterate again, the constraints we set for ourselves are the most difficult ones.

I trust I’ll make the right decision and things may just work out around it. We’ll see.
