Food Discoveries

So much has happened and it's only been 10 days into the New Year. The much that has happened is pretty much disappointing news and I have been feeling down, but trying to keep my spirits up. My husband has been a great support trying to cheer me up and help me see the many blessings God has blessed me with, instead of looking at the tiny weenie misfortunes. Therefore, my new bible verse for the year has been put up on my blog from Hebrews 13:5.

Well, I had lunch outside today and took some pics and realized I have not blogged about some pretty nice food pics I had taken before.

The first one is this Huge Curry Chicken Bread, found at Petaling Street, as my youngest sister wanted to try something new, my other younger sister decided to get this for her. So after church, we walked down and I discovered this. I tried it out later at my mom's place since this bread was primarily for my sister, but I got to taste it, and it was pretty good! So do check it out if you're in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Street at one of those Chinese coffee shop places.



The second one, for durian fans, is superb durian ice cream. Found at One Utama, lower ground floor level that connects the old building to the newer one. Fantastic tasting ice cream, which is made for you on the spot (of course some earlier preparation is needed). Try it.


And finally, my lunch venue today was Penang Recipe at Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. We tried out their Chinese new year promotions. And I was quite impressed with it, though I must say it is an acquired taste. This comes with red dates water, rice and red bean bun for dessert.

Now am looking for a 2009 with more food discoveries since I’m living in the land of plentiful, Malaysia!
