It’s all around us. It can’t be avoided and it’s happening, the economic slowdown. My heart was quite sad when I found out a dear friend of mine got retrenched recently. I know of many more, but this was a dear friend. Then it truly hit me, how unpredictable the situation is.
I put myself in my friend’s shoes and thought, wow, how am I going to cope with all my financial responsibilities? I truly pray that my friend finds a means to an end soon.
But with all that is happening, it’s really out of our control and we can take the measures needed, but we also need not worry too much. What can worry do? And worst of all, we cannot let the fear of what is happening take a grip on us. Sometimes, this may be exactly what we need, to venture out and do what we thought we’d never do in this lifetime, and become a huge success!
It’s also important that those who are not quite impacted, support family and friends who we know may be directly impacted by this credit crunch, instead of splurging on ourselves.
I hope to practice the above and I hope we all do to get through these hard times.
