It feels like ages since I blogged. I actually wrote one up just a few days ago on the medical profession but haven’t got around to making sure the facts are right before I go blogging about it.
Putting my baby, Shailan to sleep, is a wonderful thing. Today, I actually wondered what goes through the mind of a 2 year old. While both of us are lying beside each other, me pretending to sleep, taking sneak peaks at Shailan to see if he has gone to sleep; he with his eyes wide open staring into open space without moving. Then I thought, what actually goes through his mind during the 30 to 40 minutes that he does that.
I don’t know, is it because my love for him is growing stronger and stronger or what it is, but I think Shailan is getting cuter and cuter by the day. And I so want to know, what goes on in his little mind. What is he thinking? Is he up to mischief? He must be wondering why mommy is putting me to bed when I want to go play.
I remember this song by Michael Learns to Rock, ‘My Sleeping Child’. It’s a song my dad loved and since then I’ve treasured this song a lot. When I hear the lyrics it reminds me of how much I want to keep Shailan safe as well.
Children, amazing wonders they are!

Shailan is a really cutie! He's got such a nice smile, and he's blessed with cute dimples.
Thanks for reminding us of Michael Learns to Rock. It's been ages since I last listened to them.
